All About Me

In the spring of 2002, I graduated from Silver Lake College with bachelor's degree in Elementary Education/Early Childhood /Adaptive Special Education. I have been working in the Manitowoc Public School District since then. In 2007, I received my master's degree in Educational Technology through Marian University.  This year, I decided to start my coursework towards my second master's degree.  The focus for this degree is Educational Leadership and policy.  It's important to me to continue my education to continue to grow as an educator and leader.

I can't imagine having another career.  Working with students on a daily basis is incredible.  Each day lends itself to something new.  My students and I are always challenged and we are all constantly learning.  It is my goal as a teacher to encourage children to be life-long learners.  I want my students to take risks and know making mistakes is part of life.  Every mistake is valuable in the learning process.  As a teacher, I would like to see my students encouraging one another to do their best and to collaborate with one another in order to be creative/ critical thinkers.
